Subject: 74 B Head and exhaust flow ?s
Hi all, I`m trying to identify a cam from my 74 B`s 18V motor. The stamped
#`s between lobe 1&2 are 5B1B, the stamping between 7&8 is 03 ? 45M CCD 5168,
the stamping on the rear end of shaft is 314/CCD. Engraved between lobes
7&8 is E-222/280/2[7,9,4,?]0 R/C CRANE 342-31-86. In the 1st row the 3`d
group of 3 digit #`s, the 2`nd digit is unclear, as is the R. When I bought
the car the P.O. told me the cam was a 1/2 race. I would like to know more
in case the machine shop recomends a regrind, also for correct valve/rocker
gap or gaps if the in./ex. happen to be different. The motor has over 75,000
mi. on the last rebuild.
Thanks in advance,
Marc Derenzy
