...never tried it in the exhaust stream.... but that
is how my 2 cycle motorcycle engine stops
pressure pulses from reversing through the
carb. The idea sounds feasible but I think
deposits would quickly defeat the reed valve
style valve from sealing and wouldn't really
provide 'open' breathing.
