My '75 B (converted to HIF4 carbs) started making funny pinking noises
the other day. A late night investigation revealed that 1 stud holding
the intake manifold was missing, another was so loose that it was no
longer effective. Both studs are at the rear intake port, and the
manifold has obviously slipped.
This isn't the first time I've caught these things coming loose; in the
past I caught it before it got this far. Is there some kind of secret
to keeping these things in place that I am (apparently) not aware of?
