Earlier in this thread, someone was discussing "sanding" the head & block to
get rid of machining marks. It reminds me that on one of my heads & glued
two pieces of wet/dry paper to an old formica-topped counter top & pushed &
pulled that head back & forth hundreds of times. End result - a very smooth
surface that even cut down some very slight imperfections in the machining.
AND, most important - no blown gasket or leaks.
In addition, only use a Fel-Pro #21183 C gasket & spray both sides with
copper or aluminum gasket "stuff."
