If you're concerned for the extra mileage acrued on the odometer, you may
either kick yourself or feel good about being honest.
If you're worried about damage to the gearbox, forget it. All is well
(probably). The only way you damage the gearbox by towing is if you run it
without oil, same as driving it without oil. The gearbox does have an oil
pump (surprise) which is driven from the output shaft and provides for
lubrication when towing the same way it does when driving. To put your
