   You are correct.  All 'left' and 'right' nomenclature describing
positions
on cars is with respect to the driver's position.  LHD is the
abbreviation for
Left Hand Drive, as viewed by the driver's position, and is the standard
in
the US and most of Europe.
   Now if you want confusing.  Try the British terms, "Near Side" and
"Off
Side".  They are not as they seem...
