I started to ask this exact same question recently, but I ask too many 
questions on here and folks get tired of hearing me! :)  Tim, I'm glad you 
did.  It sounds like the GT wouldn't be the greatest fit for a child seat.
   Especially those monstrous ones they sell now that have everything but a 
kitchen sink.  So much for sensible fun.

On the other hand, my folks drove a pickup truck.  Dad drove, Mom sat by 
the passenger door and my brother and I squeezed into the middle.  I don't 
love my parents any less for not strapping us into baby seats until we were 
both six years old.  Don't think I'm against baby seats; I'm not.  But I 
could write a thesis on safety, religion, and bicycle helmets.
