You have two questions, and I don't think they are related, but there is a
slight possibilty (see below)
1. Is the clicking in the front or rear? If the front, inspect the rotors
for cracks or rust spots. Check the caliper mounts to be sure they are tight.
If the rear, check the drums for cracks or rust spots, also check for loose or
broken hardware.
2. When is the last time the fluid was changed? Are yo sure that is was
filled to the correct line? Have the brakes been changed since the fluid was
last filled? If so, retracting the pistons will cause the fluid to rise above
the line. If the rotors are way out of true, it may sound like clicking, but
you should feel it in the pedal. The lack of trueness, in an extreme case,
can cause the pistons to retract too far and cause the fluid to raise. What
color is the fluid? Is it dark? Brake fluid abosrbs water, and again in an
extreme situation, can cause the level to rise.
