You hit my hot button! I am in TOTAL sympathy and agreement with you Gregg.
I know that this is a "MG" special interest group list and is intended for
MG "stuff" but an occasional stray to help out another regular lister should
be okay without getting bombed!
I too am computer literate and try to help out on occasion. From my
experience I've seen that there are only a couple or three on this list that
regularly do that. Most listers here are really very decent people, some
that often need that kind of help. I'm happy to help where I can.
I say to them (to use Gregs phrase "the elite" - I personally have a
different opinion) -
YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ IT!!!! That's what the DELETE function is for!

My apologies to the list for my attempt to help out Barrie. It seems that my
post irrated another lister. My reasoning for posting as opposed to email
was that another reply was made, so maybe it could have helped more than one
person. This is the all too usual stuffiness that irks the crap out of me
about this list. It's not like my post impeded the flow of other posts,
since there have been virtually NONE today. Anyway it won't happen again,
because I am siging off. I really dislike the attitude that nothing can be
posted unless it is specific/pointed/only pertaining to MG's by anyone who
is not a regular poster (by that I mean a member of the select elite). Those
who I have email adresses for, I will seek your help when needed thru email
only. If you have my email (which several of you do) please let me know if
will be a problem with me seeking advice when I need it.
