Re: negative battery cable placement

 There's a hole drilled in the driver's side battery basket that the
ground cable is supposed to connect to.  When I converted to a group 26,
I drilled a new hole in the passenger-side basket and connected the
ground there.  Mind you, there's supposed to be a ground cable connected
from the car's body to the rear axle housing  and from the engine block
to the car body in order to complete the ground circuits.
