Yep, I have a suggestion. Have someone push the peddle down while you
look at the rod that comes out of the slave. The rod should move 1/2".
If it doesn't you haven't bled the air out of the system.
Make sure the hose is in the lower hole on the slave and the bleeder is
on the higher hole.
You'll undoubtedly get many responses from this list on how to do the
bleeding.
