IMHO, There are relatively few cars that look better in two toned paint
than in a solid color. The red and white '56 Chevy Bel Air of my youth
was a good example of one that did.

I think you might get away with it on a GT, but I can't imagine a
roadster looking good with two toned paint.  But I was wrong once... <G>
