Monte: Well I know this is not that pratical, but I made a drink holder similar to the ones in those high dollar custom vans and mounted it on the hump between the shifter and the speaker box on my 67. I just happen to have an old 650M Hard Disk mounting bracket that I used as a frame. Wont solve your problem for the drive back, but it is something to try when you get back.
