Rob:
Not to be critical, but if you are asking the question then I would
definitely suggest sticking with regular fluid. Ask for Castrol LMA or
Lockheed fluid by name, don't mess with other brands and you won't have any
problems with compatibility issues.
I do use silicone in some applications, but do not recommend it for
general use as there can be miscibility problems if the original system is
not absolutely clean.
