Here are a couple of fixes- your problem is probably a clogged heater core
or a worn out blower motor.
If you have a later model MGB with fresh air vents in the dash, block off
the fresh air vent in front of the windshield with the magnetic cover, duct
tape, whatever, then open the fresh air vents in the dash. You are now
heating cabin air, not outside air, which should give you a little more heat
than before.
Check to see that the heater control valve is fully open by releasing the
cable & moving the lever to the full open position, then reattaching the
cable.
These first 2 are simple & cheap, as well as fast to do.
Replace the heater core, or at least remove it & have a radiator shop clean
it for you.
Replace the blower motor with a unit from a TR7 with A/C. This requires some
surgery on the front cover of the heater box, but the TR7 unit is mounted on
a plate you can fasten to tour existing cover, after opening up the hole for
the fan. This unit is about 25% larger than stock MGB & really moves some
air.
Change to a V8 with a Hot Rod Air heater & A/C combination unit.
The last 3 items require more time & effort, but rodding the heater core or
replacing it is probably the required solution.
