Learning to cut and weld is a fairly easy process. You can go to your local
community college and learn to do a respectable job in about 8-10 weeks per
process. Learning to weld is the easy part. The hard part is developing the
discipline and learning the order of operations to be able to take something
apart and put it back together again and keep it the same size and shape it was
before you started.
You have to be able to establish and maintain the car on a level work plane. You
have to be able to measure and cut accurately, you have to develop the knack for
welding in replacement panels without distorting the finished shape.
And ABSOLUTELY HARDEST OF ALL , you also have to be able to dedicate the time,
energy and money to see the job thru
You can do it, but ask yourself if you REALLY want to.
