Folks,
I'm in the middle of having my engine rebuilt and transmission replaced, and
have some parts left over. I would like to get them to a good home. Make an
offer. I would hate to turn them into scrap.
Here is what they are:
Engine Block - It is magnafluxed, oil passages cleaned, boiled out, and
ready to be bored. The shop did all that, then started to bore the cylinders
only to find that they would either have to go .80 over, or sleeve the block
to get the .40 over that I wanted. I was able to get a core for less than
the cost of the extra work. .
Head - just as it came off the car. No rocker arm assembly. I thought it
would be faster to buy rebuilt head than have the machine shop do it. Worked
fine. Engine being rebuilt because (would you believe) the skirt on one
piston disintegrated.
Air filter assembly - Moss #222-910 - These are the ones with the aluminum
plate that says MG on it, and has two filters held to the backing plate.
They match an aluminum rocker arm cover. Nice dress up item. I am replacing
the
1 1/2 carbs with 1 3/4, and they won't fit. :(
Xmission without overdrive. Works smooth as silk, but I'm replacing it with
an overdrive transmission. (That is what started the whole mess - take out
the transmission, might as well do the engine work)!
All this is in the Chicago Area. Might ship the head or Air Filter Assembly
if you pay shipping and packing.
