I have been a bit disappointed with POR15. I have used it
on all suspension components and it's not as tough as I had
expected it to be. It does chip and if the area is not prepped
100%, it will peel off in sheets.
I did the lower a-arms about 1 year ago and took a look last
week. The paint peeled off and the a-arms have a coating of
surface rust. Maybe my prep was not perfect, but I have used
a generic High-Temp paint which seems to be better.
Yesterday I bought Rustoleum's "High Temp" paint (used for
barbeques) - I'm going to see how it holds up
