Just in case someone might misunderstand, you mean lube the distributor
cam and the little plastic thing on the points assembly that follows the
cam. Cam follower, points lifter, whatever. Sometimes even if you lube
it correctly, that plastic thing will wear to fit pretty quickly, the
points will close up, then you reset and relube and everything's fine from
there on out. At least that's my story.
