There are more options in this:
The UJ between the steering column and the rack conection has splines as
well.
Get the steering column unbolted, so the UJ can be losened from its spline.
Fine "tuning" is done by the tyre specialist to adjust the rack adjusters to
the wheels.
This method saves the troubles of getting the wheel apart from the column.
