Skye,
Cosworth has been making racing engines as long as I can remember.
Cosworth/Ford in the Cortina I believe, that did so well. Their engines
are 2 liter or smaller as far as I can remember. May have been available
for the Lotus 7 also. Usually dual overhead cam with all the goodies. Some
of our English listers no doubt can fill you in with much more detail.

I've never heard of the Cosworth engine. Did it ever come to North
America? What cars could it be found in?
