Rick,
I rented a uhaul car hauler to bring my 62 home from S.C. to Florida. It was
a breeze. Only word of caution that I recvd from a uhaul dealer was to stay
out of soft dirt, particulary backing up. Something about the surge brakes
they put on them may lock up. Also you may want to have your mg registration
along if it shows the weight of the vehicle. The uhaul clerk couldn't find
the car in their computer to check the weight. (they compare the weight of
the trailer with towed vehicle against the weight of your tow vehicle.) I
seem to rememer that their trailer weighs somewhere around 1800 lbs. I've
also used a tow dolly and the trailer is the way to go. You can back it up
and don't have to worry about whether you should unbolt the drive shaft.
Have a great trip,
Tom
