Can't speak specifically for the Midget but in general the more you increase the plug gap the greater the HT voltage developed in the rest of the HT system which will eventually start breaking down, usually under accelleration where the increased pressures in the cylinder increase the HT voltage still further. .035 was standard for rubber bumper MGBs. /// /// mgs@autox.team.net mailing list /// or try http://www.team.net/cgi-bin/majorcool /// |
