I realize you don't want to go electric, but let me add that I have a fairly
large insulated two-car garage that I first sealed fairly well, then used one
of those small "ceramic disck" space heaters. I just want the temperature
around 55-60, and this does a good job without costing a lot or taking up a
lot of space. I would be concerned about any heater that combusted.
