Hi,
Last month waaaay before 9-11-'01 Our club president asked if anybody wanted
to go on a fun and easy (55 mph max.) drive on the 23rd of September. Well
after the events of the 11th I wondered if I was going to be the only one
still willing (wanting) to drive anywhere! (Other than home and to work.)
Well, by gum I am happy to report that 24 people showed up and we really had
a great drive down Pacific Coast Hwy1. To a place called Paridise Cove. There
we ate a leisurely lunch, had some of the greatest conversations ever (at
least for the last couple of weeks) felt great sitting outside on the beach
and laughing my fool head off at some great as well as silly jokes and found
out it was still easy to smile. Nobody had any car problems amongst the 10 or
so LBC's. With MG's being the most popular car on the run. 3 MGBs, 1 MGB-GT, &
1 MG-TF (Flawless!) 3 Jags 2 XJ-6s & 1 XKE a TR-6 and an Austin-Healey 3000.
Our two support vehicles a Mustang and a BMW never were needed but sure felt
good just to see them back there at the end of our procession! We judged who
had the funniest hat and then drove home. Even without any support vehicles!
what a great day! A wonderful day! I love being here in the USA! Albert
