Of which could have changed the course of events for the whole time period,
in turn affecting our lives today. Even the littlest factor, such as if one
soldier lived or died, could set off a total chain reaction. For example if
a soldiers action in battle saved an officer, who later went on to lead a
great victory, what if that soldier had died? It might not seem like much at
the time, but However, I am going to focus on another small event that was
very important to the Union army.
