Hello,
After a seemingly interminable stay at the body/restoration shop, I have
my MGB back in the garage.
All rust and bondo were removed from the body, and then it was smoothed
and perfected.
The car is a '72, dark green. The paint that was previously on the car
was an incorrect BRG derivative. The correct color, BLVC 22, Green
Mallard, has more blue in it. I think it is a lesser known color, only
on 72-73 cars.
The color apparently didn't exist in two-pack form, so it was developed
by Dupont on 7/25/01 (according to the side of the can).
Anyway, the car looks stunning. If anyone needs a recommendation for a
shop in the Triangle area of NC, Ralph's Body shop is the one I used.
It is a one man shop, set up in his back yard.
As soon as I get pictures developed, I'll try to get some online for
public viewing.
So far, I've reinstalled the heater, some of the wiring harness, and a
few lights. Much more to come!
Excited about my mg,
Dan H
