Oops...forgot to edit, so this probably didn't get sent. My apologies

Dave -- Yes, I saw the post re the Miata AC to MGBGT retrofit. I haven't
even looked at the Miata's setup cause I assumed that it would be
severely complicated by contemporary computer controls and anti-pollution
gear....elements completely absent in a '67 BGT.
An AC system consists of fairly simple components....a
belt-driven compressor (generally mounted on a custom designed bracket,
a condensor, a dryer unit and an air handler/evaporator with fan and
thermostat controls, plus various connective hoses. All these elements
will fit easily (roomwise) in an early BGT engine compartment.
The TRICK as I see it is to design & locate the various cooling vent
outlets and control locations in the interior so that they have a period
appearance and are unobtrusive to the overall look of the car's
interior....IOW, it's gotta look like it came with the car. That, and
of course, it's gotta have sufficient power to cool the car efficiently.

I still intend to go by the Vintage Air place for their
advice...and access to aftermarket components
        Thanks for the input..... Phil
