Take a ziploc sandwhich bag. Cut off the tip of a corner. Slide the outer
portion of your speedo through the hole, into the bag. Tape bag to cable
using electrician's tape. Hang bag from wall, place free end of cable into
2 liter Coke (not Pepsi) bottle. Pour motor oil (I used Castrol 10W-40)
into the bag. Fill up the bag, pull up a lawn chair, and watch the oil seep
through the speedo cable into the Coke bottle. If so inclined, light up a
cigar, lean back, and listen to the crickets. After several hours of this,
remove the ziploc bag, reassemble cable, find someone who has something to
say about a virus or their preferred operating system, and offer them a
bottle of Coke.
Alternatively, prior to taping the bag to the cable, blast the cable with
brake cleaner, using those cool red nozzles that prefer releasing at the
most inopportune time.
Works better then Ed. Enquirin.....never mind.
