Hello gang,
I have decided to sell one of my two MGs and therefore plan
to put the best parts of the two on the one that I keep. The
'79 MGB LE will be the keeper. It is rust free. The '70 B-GT,
although arguably more desirable with chrome wires, etc., has a
little more rust than I can tollerate. The MGB LE has a Weber
conversion kit and pipe headers, as well as a roll bar. I will
probably swap the carb for the twin SUs on the B-GT, keeping
the pipe headers. Same with the Mona Lita steering wheel. The
wheel in the B is not the correct LE wheel anyway. Realistically,
the roll bar will probably come out also as it makes it difficult to
put the top down completely.
So, I guess the idea is that the B-GT is for sale and none too
expensive if to the right kind of home. Otherwise, it will become
a parts car.
Best regards,
