Some of these guys have to crack you up. Your car do with it what you will.
I had one guy want to go to blows with me over painting my 65B motor bright
red (which was an original engine color for that year, just not to many of
them). He told me "Well I guess to some guys it just doesn't matter". Can we
all just hold hands for a minute and sing Kumbya. Oh and some aroma candles
may help too.:-)

Well, my secret is out. Not only do I (apparently) not enjoy my MG, I don't
even own the official octagon-logo hairshirt, or the MOWOG self-flagellation
whip.
I apologise to all for what I mistakenly thought was my enthusiasm for my
car, and for MGs in general.
I apologise for all the grins I grinned while I mistakenly thought I was
enjoying my car.
I apologise for putting 125k miles, and several non-british parts, on the
valuable antique that is my one-in-a-half-million 'B.
I apologise for discussing my car with others, and falsely representing
myself as an enthusiast.
I apologise for attending MG events, for attending other car events in my
MG, for waving at other MGs on the road, and for helping others work on
their MGs. I'm not worthy, and my deceit has hurt those around me.
Finally, and most seriously, I apologise for *considering* putting a
(British, incidentally) 5-speed gearbox in my car. I never knew having an
opinion could be so dangerous; it won't happen again.
Matt
Thankful that the righteous have torn the veil of self-deception from my
eyes, and shown me the One True Light of Origniality.
