I had the pleasure today of seeing several hundred MGs today at GOF West
2001 soaking up the triple digit heat at the Sebastiani Winery in
Sonoma. Ca. Since the show is geared towards pre '56 MGs, I had to park
in an area set aside for "modern" MGs (a half dozen MGA's and a few
B's). There were vast numbers of TF's, TD's, TC's and healthy numbers
of earlier MG roadsters and saloons. I felt like the new kid on the
block in a 43 year old "modern" car. Most impressively, it seemed like
many of the cars were driven not trailered some from quite far away,
Canada, Alaska and beyond.
