My 2 cents:
Humor aside, I don't think they should. The RHD is part of what
makes England interesting. I can realize why Sweden did it as
its neighbors were on the other side of the road. England's on
an island were you can't drive directly from one country to
another and have to switch sides.
Universal sizing? Yes and no. It makes a country different. It
also makes it harder for one to find parts that fit.
So, I am not in favor of some of this "Let's make everything the
same" attitude of some manufacturers and the United Nations.
I'd just have soon have seen no McDonald's or KFC's in Britian.
Let them come up with their own version and name if they want.
But, make it British, not American.
