15-16k will buy a nice, low milage 93-94 Jaguar XJ6 (XJ40 series), a very nice daily driver. This would also leave plenty of cash for repairs or your MG. Some in the Jag community consider these to be the most reliable, user-servicable modern saloons. My 2 cents... -Dan H.
