The basic answer is: Start with what you know and work from there.

*** I assume no major problems before it was parked. ***
*** If it had major problems before it was parked then the following does NOT
apply ***

First check to make sure it has all of the essentials, (Fuel, Oil, Radiator
fluid,
fresh charge on the battery, etc....)

Then, you should go out and try to turn the key. If nothing happens,
see if there is power from the battery. (horn, or lights) If no power
from the battery, then try cleaning all the battery connectors at both
ends of the vehicle. If still no power then take the battery to an
automotive store and have it tested (replace if necessary) and try again.

Get a good manual and spend some time reading what it says.
No...............get several good manuals.

Search the list for discriptions of how other people solved the same
problem and see if it works for you.

Last, after all else fails, ask this wonderfull list for help.

Once you get it started, start with the small problems that are easy
to understand and work up to the tough ones.
