Yes. You might want to consider using the stronger MGB diaphragm clutch, 
though. If you do that you should use the MGB flywheel (different bolt 
pattern - saves redrilling the Riley flywheel) and front trans cover with 
throw-out arm and bearing (different height on the pressure plate), and check 
for interference of the pressure plate in the bellhousing - a bit of 
judicious grinding may or may not be needed.

You mean other than the fact that you have exceeded the strength of the weak 
rear axle by an even bigger margin than the 1500 did? You might want to be on 
the lookout for a replacement B series axle (I know - then you have 2 
different bolt patterns front and rear). The kicker is that only the MG 
Maggot has a wide enough axle.  Or drive very gently!

With the more powerful engine, a disc brake conversion using Spridget bits 
makes a LOT of sense. Do all that and you'll have a really nice little bomb!
