It's not so much in the pulley as grabbing the shaft and seeing if you
can move it..
The typical death moan of a water pump is low growling noises.
It's not a bad job...just time consuming. I did one on the midget I
used to have. The time consuming part was reading and re-reading the
directions to make sure I was doing it right.
Oddest thing??? running the car for a few minutes, as was directed by
pump directions WITHOUT coolant. Be sure to put in a NEW gasket, too.
