An article in our Sunday newspaper's motoring section hailed "MG back to
basics with track attack". If you monitor and eyesight is good, you can
read the clipped article (scanned as well as possible from a poor
newspaper print):

It was accompanied by an (equally poorly scanned) image of the MG Lola
EX257 le Mans car that has been entered for the coming 24hr Le Mans.

The article states that "Britains MG is launching a major motorsport
attack to help revive its sporting image" and that it is "building cars
for the Le Mans 24-Hour, the World Rally Championship and the British
Touring Car Championship".
Due in Australia next March is the MG ZT (with a worked version of the
2.5 litre V6) which will be entered in the British Touring Car
Championship, and possibly the ZR 'hot hatch' ( with a 'slightly hotter'
1.8 litre VVT from the MGF) which will be entered in the "Formula Three"
class of the World Rally Championship.
The MG Lola EX257 le Mans car "runs a 2.0 litre turbo-charged MG
engine".
Hey, it is starting to get exciting again :-)
