Recomendations for Engine service

Hi
Im restoring a MGB 68 and Im up to the stage of having
got the engine out, I know how to do most of the work
on the engine but; I was interested in opinion as to
"what should I check and defiantly renew" whilst the
engine is out?

Same goes for the Gear box.
