  I was thinking of putting a length of heavy sash cord in the
turned-under flange on the seal before installation.  Then, when the
windshield is resting on the cowl, prying the seal flange out by pulling
the cord out at right angles to the seal.  I've seen this done to
install rubber-glazed rear windows in pickups before.
