I'm preparing to repaint my MGB. Or, I guess more to the point, I'm getting it
ready to be painted.
I've got a couple of little projects to do -- door skins, bolt on a new fender
-- as well as sills. After I'm done with all of that, I'll send it out to get
painted.
Here's the question. Between the beginning of this project and its arrival at
the paint shop, there will be at least a month during which the car has
relatively new, unprotected sheetmetal.
What should I do about protecting it, with the realization that anything I put
on it will most likely have to be taken off again very, very soon? Or should I
stop worrying and just leave the black "primer" on the outsides of these parts
until they go to the painter?
Thanks to all,
Matt
