Speaking of Paint

I have Russet brown RB MGB and it is in need of new paint.  Wife does
not like brown, but I have grown to like it.  My question is:  on a 78
RB MGB, were the decals on the side, gold in color?  That is kind of
what is there now, but I don't know if the PO had changed anything.
The interior is light tan and the carpet is gone.
