   That's a shame Frank.  Here in Tulsa, Speedvision is part of Basic
Service if you buy DIGITAL cable.  It is also Cox.  You might ask if
the basic package changes when you go to digital -- if it is offered
in your area.  Then again, I pay under $35/mo. for DSS DirecTV Total
Choice, including Speedvision, and got my equipment free (well,
rebated) when I signed a year contract with DirecTV.  They're always
running some kind of special as they try to compete with conventional
cable.  The only thing I loose with DSS is local channels -- which I couldn't
care a wet flip about.  My wife DOES watch the local news so we have
a flat $25 antenna up on the side of the house for that.
   Perhaps this helps.  It will put you online.
