Hi Greg,

Not to scare you, but best looking at this story: remove the battery
connections and start the job by removing all "wrong" electrical stuff. Lots
of electrics DPO's have done often are based on lose connections - etc.
Than make sure you have a reasonable good diagram - Haynes is a good start,
although not well detailed and sometimes missing info.

Remove all fuses and then start with one circuit you want to make right.
If that's working take the second circuit.

I hope this helps a bit.

Cheers,

Hans

I took the 79 mgb out for a spin today it has a lot of electrical
issue's.These include non working guages, cheap headlight switch in non
stock location, several loose wires, fan wired direct to work, various
splices all over the loom, and the real big kicker was as i was putting
it away smoke began rolling out from under the dash definately smelled
like wire burning. So the question is where do i go from here, try and
find/repair all the damaged items or replace loom?Any help appreciated
as i'm anxious to get it sorted out.................Greg
