FWIW: What's really crazy about this valve is the direction of the water flow through it. If the water does flow from the head to the heater and back to the pump, the flow is trying to lift the shut off valve off it's seat. Why wasn't it made so the water flow PUSHED the valve onto the seat? A lighter spring could have been used on the seal, it would take less pressure on the control line to close it, etc. Huh...
