It is true that such a special exists. I do not know how many were made. We
worked on one in our shop a number of years ago. I am looking for the photos
to see if it is the exact on perhaps. It was also a number 44. I would
assume that even if more were made, they would not all have the same car
number.

Wow, that's a very interesting find. Seems to be an MG "Special" built to
race at Sebring, one of 3 or 4 built. The price isn't bad for a vintage race
car, if it's actually authentic and documented. Someone must know something
about this car if it's for real (someone that can express themselves in
English, I mean -- the captions on the web site are pretty opaque. I liked
this comment: "Naturally the car is only for a lover, collecting tank or
also a capital investor interesting"). I may be a lover, but I don't know
about a collecting tank...
