What I hate about last minute eBay bidders is that I think they often don't
deserve the item as much as I do! hehehe When Brian Warmuth of West Virginia
outbids me on an MG Magnette Mk III item, I'm not upset in the least because he
owns a Farina Magnette and might need the part. I often write to bidders of MG
Magnette Mk. III items to see of they own the cars, and I have discovered
owners that way and thier names are now in the club register. However, most
don't own the car, and its when these complete strangers who, when I write
them, don't actually own the car and offer to sell me the part, or pamphlet or
whatever, for twice what they paid that really gets my ire! ALSO, a few hints
to eBay buyers... its NOT NOS just because he found it in an old box. I've
seen so much repro crap up there as NOS it hurts. Some even have the Moss
sticker visible. When they bid it up beyond its regular retail price, well I
just can't help but laugh. This happens so often with JAguar X!
J-S shocks, selling for 70-80 ea
ch when they cost new from British Auto/USA (real boges) for $35 each. EBay
bidders need to be very careful, not because of seller dishonesty, but because
of seller ignorance.
