If you follow the Ebay bids, the "sniping" is how most things go. I
don't have the software, but I have always bought from ALL auctions
that way. No reason to drive the price up early. As a buyer it only
makes since. If you want to pay more for an item then you have to, you
are welcome to, but I am too cheap for that.
I usually mark my calendar for the end of an auction if I REALLY want
an item. I don't bid at all until about a minute or so before it ends,
and then I reload like crazy to make sure I got the item. It is just
the part of the auction game. I don't always get the items I want
because of scheduling conflicts. (the buyer doesn't call me first to
ask when the end of the auction would work best for me.) But if I
really want something I can make time for it.
Then again, I haggle at least a little when I buy used cars too, but I
don't consider that under handed...
