Good idea Paul,

When driving with the replaced sender my tank seems to become empty quicker
than I expected! I'll do this recalibration. Cheers,

Hans

It only takes 12 gallons when it is empty! If you have been estimating when
to fill up then maybe your 30 quids worth went in when it was half full (or
half empty, depending on point of view. Always order a new gasket when you
replace the sender and if your locking ring looks corroded get one of those
as well. When you reinstall make sure the gasket goes between the sender
and the tank. With a new sender you may well find that the 'full' and more
importantly 'empty' indications on the gauge are way out. You can
recalibrate the gauge, read how on the web site below - select 'Spanners',
'Electrics' and 'Gauges' then scroll to the bottom of the page.
