I was just getting new tires put on my Mazda truck when I noticed a '71 MGB
roadster at a shop nearby. Looking again, I saw a bunch of Minis as well.
The shop is a restoration/sales store for Minis in Santa Rosa CA. After
speaking to the owner of the MGB I learned that he had recently purchased
it. It's a '71 with only 31k miles and had been sitting in the prior
owner's garage for 20 years due to a stuck smog pump. The new owner said he
had to go thru the engine as it was siezed and redo the hydraulics. The car
looked very nice and he said he paid $500 for it!
I guess there must still some old MG's and similar sports cars sitting in
garages that haven't been discovered yet!
